SpotV II Vital Signs Monitor Simulation Overlay

Description

SpotV II is a vital signs monitor simulation overlay developed to bring greater realism to clinical assessment and patient monitoring scenarios. Designed specifically to fit over the Welch Allyn Spot Vital Signs Monitor 42NTB, it can be used with either functional or retired monitors to create a more authentic simulation environment.

Using the Innov2Learn app, instructors can wirelessly display scenario-specific readings directly on the overlay, including temperature, heart rate, oxygen saturation, systolic blood pressure and diastolic blood pressure. This allows learners to interact with realistic vital signs information during patient assessment, escalation and decision-making exercises.

SpotV II is suitable for use with low-, medium- and high-fidelity manikins, as well as simulated or standardised patients, making it a flexible addition to nursing education, medical simulation, acute care teaching and multidisciplinary clinical training.

The latest design includes magnetic mounting brackets for easier removal when access to the original monitor display is required, while the adhesive mounting pads help secure the overlay without damaging the host monitor surface. With USB-C charging, app-visible battery status and wireless Bluetooth control over distances of more than 15 metres, SpotV II is built for repeat use in busy simulation settings.
