The ClearView Interactive Tracheostomy Trainer is designed to bring greater visibility and realism to tracheostomy education, helping healthcare professionals understand not only how to perform procedures, but what is happening inside the airway as they work.
Its transparent trachea and removable chest plate allow learners and educators to directly visualise the relationship between the tracheostomy tube cuff and tracheal wall. This makes ClearView particularly valuable for demonstrating correct tube positioning, cuff behaviour and airway anatomy during practical teaching.
The trainer accommodates tracheostomy tubes and endotracheal tubes and incorporates realistic anatomical features including an epiglottis, intubatable vocal cords, tracheostomy stoma and bronchial bifurcation. Functional inflatable lungs allow spontaneous breathing to be replicated or the lungs to be inflated using positive-pressure ventilation, supporting a broad range of respiratory and airway scenarios.
ClearView can also demonstrate the use of a speaking valve. With the tracheostomy cuff deflated and a speaking valve attached, exhalation produces an auditory cue simulating speech through the vocal cords, helping educators demonstrate the relationship between cuff management, airflow and vocalisation.
