Description
Oxi is a simulated pulse oximeter designed to add realism to clinical assessment, respiratory training and emergency care simulation. It allows learners to practise interpreting oxygen saturation and pulse readings while instructors control the displayed values wirelessly through the Innov2Learn app.
The device can simulate both SpO₂ oxygen saturation and heart rate pulse values, helping educators create scenarios involving changing respiratory or cardiovascular status, including hypoxaemia and hyperoxia. This makes Oxi a useful training tool for nursing, medical, paramedic and multidisciplinary simulation environments.
Oxi is suitable for use with standardised patients as well as low-, medium- and high-fidelity manikins. It is designed to fit human fingers and can also be used on silicone, rubber, latex or plastic fingers, making it highly adaptable across different simulation setups.
A pulse bar graph responds to the programmed heartbeat value, adding another visual cue for learners during assessment. With rechargeable operation, long battery life and remote Bluetooth control, Oxi provides a flexible and repeatable way to integrate simulated pulse oximetry into realistic patient scenarios.
