Gluco-Mini is a simulated blood glucose meter designed to improve realism in healthcare simulation and clinical skills training. Suitable for use with standardised patients and manikins, it enables learners to practise blood glucose assessment while instructors remotely control the displayed results in real time.
Through the Innov2Learn app, educators can simulate a wide range of glucose readings, from low values associated with hypoglycaemia to high values associated with hyperglycaemia. This makes Gluco-Mini a valuable training tool for nursing education, medical simulation, emergency care scenarios and patient assessment exercises.
The device supports both mmol/L and mg/dL units, making it suitable for training environments across the UK, Europe, North America and other international markets. It also accepts most test strips, including expired or faulty strips, because the values shown are simulated rather than clinically measured.
With wireless Bluetooth control over distances of up to 15 metres, USB-C recharging and more than 4 hours of continuous operation, Gluco-Mini offers a compact, repeatable and immersive way to integrate blood glucose monitoring into clinical simulation scenarios.
