Description
SED-A is a specialist sedation monitor simulator developed for advanced anaesthesia training. It is designed to help anaesthesiologists and educators explore complex patient states, transitions in depth of sedation and the use of brain function monitoring technologies such as Masimo SedLine®.
The system reproduces anaesthesia states and transitions in real time, including rare and critical cases, allowing learners to practise interpretation and decision-making in a safe, controlled environment. Instructors can work from built-in state sets or create fully customised states, signals and scenarios to suit specific educational objectives.
SED-A provides detailed control over patient states and EEG-related parameters, including L1, R1, L2, R2 and spectrum synthesis, as well as suppression artefacts, transition timing, simulation pause, fast-forward functionality and command history review. This makes it particularly valuable for workshops, high-volume training sessions and focused teaching on advanced sedation monitoring concepts.
The simulator is supplied on a medical-grade rolling stand and includes a control tablet, carrying case and charging accessories, helping it integrate smoothly into simulation centres, anaesthesia teaching spaces and specialist training programmes. It can be controlled wirelessly via Bluetooth BLE and operates offline without requiring Wi-Fi.
