This simulator is inspired by the Accu-chek Inform II, a blood glucose meter used in most hospitals in North America. This device is specifically designed for simulation purposes. It will allow you to simulate a blood glucose (blood sugar level) measurement, using either a low, medium or high-fidelity manikin or even with a simulated (standardized) patient. By using a tablet, cell phone, computer or iPod, you will then be able to send the values to simulate hypoglycemia and/or hyperglycemia. This simulator works with real or expired strips, as well as with artificial or no blood at all. The battery lasts for up to four hours.
